I don't have hair that would usually cause people to ask or just go ahead and touch it without my permission, but it has and does happen to me more than I'd like it to. It's so rude and disrespectful to peoples' personal boundaries. I'm not going to lie though, I have once asked a friend if I could touch his super curly hair. He said it was only acceptable in public places where his future wife might be to get jealous and make herself known lol. But I think that was different circumstances. I think, for me anyway, it's just a personal boundary against strangers just assuming that touching people without express permission that annoys me most. For example an old friend of mine had some teens on a foreign exchange approach her and just reach out and touch her mohawk and of course she was outraged. They might not have spoken any English but they definitely understood that they'd made a massive mistake.
